Meet Chef Justin
Chef Justin blends classical training, cultural heritage, and hometown pride into food that’s both personal and approachable. As a trained chef with more than two decades of experience, he has worked in high-end restaurants, catering companies, and as a private chef—roles that have allowed him to hone his craft while running kitchens for others. Fat Kitty Teriyaki marks his first venture as a business owner and the realization of a long-held dream.
Born and raised in Philomath, his passion for cooking began at a young age, inspired by time spent with his grandmother, who grew, processed, and prepared most of her food. Her Japanese roots and Asian-inspired cooking left a lasting impression, shaping the flavors and techniques that influence many of Chef Justin’s recipes today.

We believe in keeping things simple. That’s why the Fat Kitty menu has limited options: we focus on quality and flavor, and we don’t want to confuse that with a busy menu. We do teriyaki, and we do it well.
